Strategic Learning Consulting: Intel Education
The Strategic Learning Consulting Practice (SLC) at SRI International offers consulting services for aligning business and development objectives with educational goals. In it's consulting role with Intel Education, the SLC team at SRI extended the reach and impact of Intel Education's global teacher professional development initiative.
Intel Education is committed to extending quality teacher professional development and ICT training to 10 million new teachers in emerging markets. Based on Intel's business and education objectives and SRI's assessment of the current Intel Education offerings, it was determined that migrating and expanding the Intel Education programs to an online environment was a pedagogically and strategically sound approach. The move to a web-based program allowed Intel to expand and scale their offerings while simultaneously integrating their disparate programs, thereby extending their reach, deepening impact, and fostering brand loyalty, while providing an effective online teacher professional development model.
Through a highly collaborative engagement with Intel, SRI developed strategies and established high level requirements for creating and implementing an effective online learning environment and teacher professional development course with maximum capacity to reach large numbers of teachers around the globe.
