Katie Kaattari
Research Analyst
A research analyst for the Center for Technology in Learning in the Policy Division at SRI International. She has extensive experience in evaluating educational technology programs. She has performed in-depth phone interviews and site visits with school administrators, principals, teachers, technology managers, policy-makers, and parents, focusing on how technology impacts education at the classroom, district, and state levels for the GLOBE project, the National Study on Technology and Education Reform, and the Science, Mathematics, Engineers, and Technology project (to name a few). She has conducted various statistical studies and has performed extensive literature searches and reviews on on-line databases at SRI International and Stanford University for ongoing projects.
Among Ms. Kaattari's other skills, she has wide experience in developing, designing, and maintaining Web sites for CTL and the Policy Division. Currently, Ms. Kaattari is involved in the On-line Evaluation Resource Library that supports Education and Human Resources (EHR) project evaluations at the National Science Foundation (NSF). She develops and maintains evaluation documents on the Web with examples of evaluation plans, data collection instruments and reports drawn from actual project evaluations. She also is involved in developing and maintaining the Web site for the Performance Assessment Links in Science (PALS) project for the National Science Foundation. For the GLOBE project, Ms. Kaattari continues to revise and create versions on the Web of the teacher survey for collecting data on-line.
