Eva Chen
Social Research Scientist
Dr Eva Chen is a social research scientist at SRI and her research interests center on assessment, technology, and math and science education. Her current work involves examining how teachers and administrators use student data systems to inform instruction, and how schools and districts provide training and support to facilitate efforts in data-based decision making. Previously she evaluated the implementation of the Enhancing Education Through Technology Program, and documented its impact on teachers' effective technology integration into curriculum and instruction.
Prior to joining SRI, she was a senior research associate at UCLA National Center for Research on Evaluation, Standards and Student Testing (CRESST). Her major projects at CRESST involved designing and validating performance-based assessment tasks, evaluating technology innovations for science learning, and investigating the implementation and impact of a data analysis tool for school improvement.
