Anders Rosenquist

CTL Alumnus : Research Scientist

Dr. Anders Rosenquist is a research scientist at SRI International's Center for Technology in Learning. His interests focus on the innovative uses of technology tools and learning environments to support science learning. Formerly a high school physics and chemistry teacher, Dr. Rosenquist has held design and development roles on a range of technology-supported projects at SRI, Stanford, and WestEd. These responsibilities have included development of computer-based science simulations, probeware-based chemistry modules, and performance-based investigation frameworks.

Dr. Rosenquist is currently involved in several NSF-funded projects: NanoSense, ChemSense, and the Learning in Informal and Formal Environments (LIFE) Center. On the NanoSense and ChemSense projects, Dr. Rosenquist is a researcher interested in student learning of science concepts through the use of innovative curriculum and visualization tools. LIFE, a newly-funded Science of Learning Center, is focused on understanding and advancing human learning through a simultaneous focus on implicit, informal, and formal learning, thus cultivating generalizable interdisciplinary theories that guide the design of effective new technologies and learning environments. On LIFE, Dr. Rosenquist is a program manager for the Education, Collaboration, and Outreach (ECO) strand that is aimed at building partnerships, capacity, and diversity in the learning sciences community.
