Amy Hafter
Educational Researcher
Amy came to SRI with extensive experience as both a teacher/mentor and a school change partner. Her background includes providing professionl development, pre-service coursework and systematic change at school and district levels. She has worked with teachers at every level from pre-service and novice to very experienced teachers in classrooms from pre-K through community college level. She also worked with the California and Illionois State Boards of Education to create guidelines for professional development and evaluation of teachers.
In her six years at SRI, Amy has garnered a broad range of research skills inlcuding project management, evaluation and assessment instrument development and analysis planning, and the logistic management of very large data collection efforts. (Currently managing data collection for the WPD project involving collection of >20,000 pieces of data annually using 11 different instruments.) She also serves as liaison to education community for study design, recruitment and partnership for CTL and other SRI projects.
